The Dress. The Kiss. The Hats. The Processions. The Wedding.
With all the media focus on every detail of the Royal Wedding, scant attention was given to the grand lady who stood poised and polished, lending her beauty to the celebrated moment. The Queen? No! The sparkling presence that added a sense of the numinous to the day: Westminster Abbey.
Amongst official photos on the British Monarchy’s Flickr page is a set titled “Unusual Views of Westminster Abbey.” So far I haven’t had the opportunity to properly visit London and, as a result, haven’t any images of the Abbey. Instead, today’s offerings are details of other important churches within the Anglican Communion from the United States, Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
