Let’s See

In these days following the killing of Bin Laden, there’s been a lot made of the fact that he was living in a growing neighborhood near a Pakastani military facility.

Department of Defense intelligence aside, I believe it’s a human quality to miss what we’re looking for because it’s often right under out proverbial noses. With our minds focused on our private concerns, we’re easily mentally carried away from where we are so we don’t always pay attention to what surrounds us.

I’ve had a yen lately to take a day-long drive through the mountains, just because I want to see and be surrounded by their beauty. Unable to take off right now, I went looking for beauty tonight while on an errand to a neighborhood shopping area, toting only a poor-quality BlackBerry camera to capture might be discovered.

Here’s what I found hiding in plain sight:
